This is a report founded on a project by Atlas Copco called NYSTAB.  The application Nystab is a calculation program that can calculate the stability of the rockdrill-rigs made by Atlas Copco. The original version of Nystab is stored in a database from 1997 and the code is made in an old version of Visual Basic. My assignment was to develop the application in to a newer programming environment and make it last better in the upcoming years. The software I decided to use to accomplish this project is C# .NET in Visual Studio and Microsoft Access 2010. All the code is written in C# with some insertions from ADO.NET which helped me to easier connect the code with the database.The coding part was split into two pieces; the first was to develop the application scale done with Windows Forms, the second was to write the code for calculations in the application.

This project has created a web-application for the service technicians at the paper plant Gruvön. The project was outsourced to the IT-company Sogeti.The application visualizes information about reparation-work of the equipment at the paper plant. The displayed information is work-orders, the status of the work-orders and errors. It is also possible to see the costs and hours spent on reparation-work.. The work-orders and related information is stored in a relational database.The application is created mainly for web-browsers in mobile-phones and tablets.

Programmeringsspråken Visual C++, C# och VB.NET (Visual Basic.NET) jämförs, med tyngdpunkt på en praktisk jämförelse av fyra exempelapplikationer. Exempelapplikationen WordCount visar att Visual C++ har förutsättningar förbäst prestanda, men att även C# och VB.NET ger helt godtagbar prestanda. Valet av färdiga klasser är viktigare än språket. Ett olämpligt val kan göra prestandan mycket sämre än förväntat, medan den allra bästa prestandan ofta erhålls med en egen implementering. Applikationen FFT visar att flyttalsprestandan är bättre i C# än i VB.NET.

This thesis presents an application that performs positioning of modules automatically based on given data for every module, and the development of it. The basis of the application is from a previous thesis code. On top of that code, more features and error handling has been added, as well as fixes for various bugs. A stress test has been performed and further development possibilities are being presented.The thesis work was carried out at Toyota Material Handling Mjölby (TMH) and was made in parallel with another thesis by Fredrik Holden who was generating data for the application. Arbetet bygger på att de informationssystem som används idag men som blir allt äldre och därigenom inte klarar de krav som ställs på dem. Detta medför att informationssystemen måste migreras till modernare plattformar, då företagen dels inte klarar sig utan dess nuvarande funktionalitet och dels måste vidareutveckla systemen.Detta arbete tar upp olika sätt som detta kan genomföras på och vilka problem som kan komma att uppstå när detta sker. För att kunna undersöka detta så genomfördes ett antal migrationer. Språken som migrationen kommer att ske mellan är Visual Basic 6 och Visual Basic .net. Migrationerna kommer att ske med hjälp av ett migrationsverktyg, samt ett ramverk som i arbetet skräddarsys för just arbetets typ av migrationer.Det arbetet kommer fram till är att det sker problem vid användande av ett verktyg och även att det inte ger tillräckligt med respons på vad som gått snett under migrationerna..

Denna rapport tar upp grunderna inom programmering mot Windows Outlook 2007. Den är tänkt att ge en inblick i hur man kan gå till väga och vilka verktyg man kan välja för sitt projekt. Den innefattar en jämförelse mellan användning av det inbyggda Visual Basic for Applications och att skapa ett insticksprogram med Visual Basic. Rapporten innefattar även en textuell beskrivning hur man kan skapa ett enkelt ärendehanteringssystem i Outlook 2007 med möjlighet till registrering av ett nytt ärende via en webbapplikation..

Uppsatsen behandlar det problem som organisationer har stött på när de vill uppgradera sin utvecklingsmiljö och sin produkt till Visual Basic.NET. Uppsatsen identifierar vilka faktorer det är som påverkar valet av en övergång, positiva respektive negativa. Faktorerna ger organisationer en bättre inblick i problemet och hjälper dem att avgöra huruvida de ska göra en övergång eller ej. För att arbeta fram våra faktorer har vi valt att använda oss av ett abduktivt tillvägagångssätt, som mynnar ut i en kvalitativ uppsats. This thesis has been done in order to ease the process of drawing schematics ofelectrical wiring. The need arose after demand from the government due to a seriesof incidents that took place during the revision of the nuclear power plant in year2009.The task of the project has been to create a computer program that can generate agraphical representation of the electrical components relations. The basis for theprogram has been an example of how the client wants the graphical representation tolook. During the course of the project weekly meetings have occured in which theclient has reviewed the work.The result of the project is a program written in Visual Basic Applications that can berun in Microsoft Excel. The program is capable of generating graphics for a majority ofthe cases.

This exam paper has been a collaboration between the writers and System Anderson AB. The assignment was about completing a client application, running on a PDA, and a server application, running as a web service. The web service handles the communication with System Anderssons existing database. The main goal for the application is that it will be used to increase efficiency in storage management. The client application will hold functions for withdrawal, purchase, delivering and inventory.

Arbetet som utförts består av två applikationer där båda presenterar information geografiskt på internet. Applikationerna har konstruerats i utvecklingsverktyget Visual Basic och med GIS-programvarorna MapObjects och MapObjects Internet Map Server. The task of this project was to build an computer processing system for pressureregulation, in which the pressure loss over the open hydrolicvalve should be kept as low as possible. By using an cross connected proportional directional valve the valve problem could be solved. The control- and regulationproblem for the pressureregulation system was solved by using the DAQ- card NI6035E from National Instruments and the computerprogram Automatic Pressure Control 1.0 which has been software developed and written in Visual Basic. The final result showed that correct processvarible was obtained in 0,5 seconds, when the setpoint was changed in the testarea 0 - 2,5 MPa..
